My name is Bert Yost. My wife and I own the Willkommen Hof B&B at the base of Whiteface Mt. in Wilmington, NY. I decided to start this blog to make people aware of the biking / mt. biking opportunities in our area; the most obvious being: the annual Whiteface Mt. Uphill Bike Race in June, lift serviced mt. biking at Whiteface Mt., and the mt biking trail network on the Flume Trail System
Besides the mt. biking opportunities, there are also many back roads through out are area that offer leisurely country rides or something more serious such as the Lake Placid Iron Man loop that passes by our front door.
